George M. Carrera, Jr. to Speak at Midwest Society of Cosmetic Chemists Teamworks Event
Patent agent George Carrera, Jr. has joined the Midwest SCC’s Teamworks Technical Symposium faculty. The event will be held on March 19 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
In his “Patent Protection Strategies for Cosmetics” session, George will discuss how patents can help create and maintain a competitive advantage. He will cover what can and cannot be protected with a patent and the process for obtaining a patent. George will also provide best practices for gathering the information required to file a patent application and walk attendees through how the United States Patent & Trademark Office reviews and approves patent applications.
MWSCC Teamworks is the main ingredients and formulation event for the Midwest Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists serving the cosmetic/personal and household care industries. It showcases the latest innovations and scientific information.
