About Daniel S. Tyler

Daniel Tyler is an Associate Attorney and member of the firm’s Class Action, Commercial and Business Litigation team, representing clients in a wide range of matters from breach of contract, government investigation, trademark, trade secret, and related commercial competition claims.  Dan joined Amin Talati Wasserman in 2017 following several years of successful practice in the commercial litigation space.  His aggressive, yet business-focused approach to litigation is valued by clients for his keen insight into the best possible outcomes for the client (not for its lawyers).  Dan’s sole focus is cost-efficient, yet effective legal representation to reach the goals articulated by his clients.

Dan represents clients across the full spectrum of the ATW client base, covering disputes common to the food, beverage, supplement, drug and cosmetic industries involving deceptive or misleading labeling, adulteration and false advertising investigations brought by the FDA, FTC and state attorneys general, deceptive trade practice and unfair competition claims brought under Section 43(a) of the federal Lanham Act, and claims brought under the various states’ Consumer Fraud and Protection statutes.

Prior to joining Amin Talati Wasserman in 2017, Dan was a commercial litigator with Novack and Macey, LLP in Chicago.  Dan began his commercial litigation practice in Boston with Weston Patrick as an Associate Attorney in 2013.  Prior to law school, Dan began his legal career as a civil litigation legal assistant at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, where he led a support staff and trial team at Kirkland for six years before entering law school in 2010.  Dan attended Suffolk University Law School where he served on the Moot Court Honor Board and was named Editor-in-Chief of the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy, and received his B.A. from Colgate University in 2004.

Dan lives with his wife, Michelle, and their two rambunctious boys in the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago.  When he isn’t in the office or stepping on Legos at home, Dan enjoys golf, skiing, spending time with his friends and family, and non-fiction reading.  Dan is also an avid sports fan, with (sometimes delusional) devotion to Notre Dame football and Cubs baseball.
